These eyes of mine have seen your salvation,
And there was an ish in Yerushalayim whose shem was Shimon, a tzaddik, a chasid, awaiting the Nechamat Yisroel (Consolation of Israel), and the Ruach Hakodesh was upon him. [YESHAYAH 52:9]
And it had been revealed to him by the Ruach Hakodesh that he was not to see mavet until he had seen Hashem’s Moshiach.
And Shimon came in the Ruach Hakodesh into the courts of the Beis HaMikdash; and when the horim (parents) brought in the yeled, Yehoshua, to do concerning him the required mitzvah of the Torah [Lv 12:6-8],
Then Shimon took him into his arms, saying, Baruch Hashem, and the following:
And now, Adonoi, dismiss Your eved in shalom, according to Your dvar (word);
Because my eynayim have beheld the Yeshu’at Eloheinu, [YESHAYAH 40:5; 52:10]
And behold, there was a man in Jerusalem whose name was Simeon. This man was just and feared God and waited for the consolation of Israel. And the Holy Ghost was upon him.
And it was declared to him from God by the Holy Ghost that he should not see death before he had seen the Anointed of the Lord.
And he was led by the Spirit into the Temple. And when the parents brought in the Baby Jesus, to do for Him after the custom of the Law,
he then took Him in his arms and praised God, and said,
“Lord, now let Your servant depart in peace, according to Your word!
“For my eyes have seen Your Salvation
Now there was a man in Jerusalem, whose name was Simeon, and this man was righteous and devout, looking for the consolation of Israel, and the Holy Spirit was upon him.
And it had been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that he should not see death before he had seen the Lord’s Christ.
And inspired by the Spirit he came into the temple; and when the parents brought in the child Jesus, to do for him according to the custom of the law,
he took him up in his arms and blessed God and said,
“Lord, now lettest thou thy servant depart in peace, according to thy word;
for mine eyes have seen thy salvation
Now there was a man in Jerusalem, whose name was Simeon, and this man was righteous and devout, looking for the consolation of Israel, and the Holy Spirit was upon him.
And it had been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that he should not see death before he had seen the Lord’s Christ.
And inspired by the Spirit he came into the temple; and when the parents brought in the child Jesus, to do for him according to the custom of the law,
he took him up in his arms and blessed God and said,
“Lord, now lettest thou thy servant depart in peace, according to thy word;

Now there was a man in Jerusalem whose name was Simeon, and this man was just and pious, waiting for the consolation of Israel. The Ruach ha-Kodesh was on him.
And it had been revealed to him by the Ruach ha-Kodesh that he would not die before he had seen the Anointed One of Adonai.
So in the Ruach, Simeon came into the Temple; and when the parents brought the Child Yeshua to do for Him according to the custom of the Torah,
Simeon received Him into his arms and offered a bracha to God, saying,
“Now may You let Your servant go in peace, O Sovereign Master, according to Your word.
For my eyes have seen Your salvation,
While fulfilling these sacred obligations at the temple, they encountered a man in Jerusalem named Simeon. He was a just and pious man, anticipating the liberation of Israel from her troubles. He was a man in touch with the Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit had revealed to Simeon that he would not die before he had seen the Lord’s Anointed One.
The Spirit had led him to the temple that day, and there he saw the child Jesus in the arms of His parents, who were fulfilling their sacred obligations.
Simeon took Jesus into his arms and blessed God.
Simeon: Now, Lord and King, You can let me, Your humble servant, die in peace.
You promised me that I would see with my own eyes what I’m seeing now: Your freedom,
Behold, there was a man in Jerusalem whose name was Simeon. This man was righteous and devout, looking for the consolation of Israel, and the Holy Spirit was on him.
It had been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that he should not see death before he had seen the Lord’s Christ.
He came in the Spirit into the temple. When the parents brought in the child, Jesus, that they might do concerning him according to the custom of the law,
then he received him into his arms, and blessed God, and said,
“Now you are releasing your servant, Master, according to your word, in peace;
for my eyes have seen your salvation,
A man named Simeon was in Jerusalem. He was a good man and he loved God. He was watching and waiting for the one who would save Israel. The Holy Spirit was on him.
The Holy Spirit had shown him that he would not die before he had seen the Lord's Christ.
He came into the temple, led by the Spirit. The parents brought in the child Jesus to do what the law said they should do about him.
Then Simeon took Jesus in his arms and praised God.
He said, `Lord, now you are letting your servant go in peace, just as you said.
I have seen with my own eyes the one you have sent to save people.
And lo! a man was in Jerusalem, whose name was Simeon; and this man was just and virtuous, and abode the comfort of Israel [and this man was just and dread-full, abiding the comfort of Israel]; and the Holy Ghost was in him.
And he had taken an answer of the Holy Ghost, that he should not see death, but he saw first the Christ of the Lord.
And he came in Spirit into the temple. And when his father and mother led [in] the child Jesus to do after the custom of the law for him,
he took him into his arms, and blessed God, and said,
Lord, now thou lettest go thy servant after thy word in peace; [Lord, now thy leavest thy servant after thy word in peace;]
for mine eyes have seen thine health,
And lo, there was a man in Jerusalem, whose name [is] Simeon, and this man is righteous and devout, looking for the comforting of Israel, and the Holy Spirit was upon him,
and it hath been divinely told him by the Holy Spirit -- not to see death before he may see the Christ of the Lord.
And he came in the Spirit to the temple, and in the parents bringing in the child Jesus, for their doing according to the custom of the law regarding him,
then he took him in his arms, and blessed God, and he said,
`Now Thou dost send away Thy servant, Lord, according to Thy word, in peace,
because mine eyes did see Thy salvation,
